An Oklahoma woman reported to police January 13 that an Enid man had an “explicit picture” of her niece, then age 11, in his home. After the suspect began a hospital stay the night before, the woman went in the man’s home to retrieve some property and found the picture.
Police talked to the landlord and another man who found many images of juvenile girls while cleaning out the home. The landlord said the suspect, age 42, had moved out and nobody else had lived there. A search of the home found more pictures of the woman’s niece.
Police say the girl’s mother stated it was only after the pictures were found did her daughter, now 16, disclose that the suspect had sexually abused her when they lived in California.
Already having a prior 1998 California felony conviction for second degree burglary, the suspect now faces two years to life on charges of child pornography possession.
